Amalia Strings was founded in 2012 by Vicky and Mike after they met playing at weddings and events. Their musical rapport was apparent from the start, along with a common ambition to provide high quality music to events of all kinds.
This led them to create the versatile ensemble that is Amalia Strings, delivering the highest quality of music to events whether in Duo, Trio or Quartet form, covering genres and styles from Mozart to The Beatles.
The members of Amalia Strings are highly trained musicians who bring a wide experience of performing at some of the top venues across the country, including The Wigmore Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican and The Royal Festival Hall.
Since the group’s formation they have worked with a number of clients to enhance a variety of events with string music. This has included playing at venues such as Hatfield House, Clivedon House, Carnaby Street and One Great George Street, as well as numerous other prestigious venues.
